In the days when most men aspired to the status of a gentleman, the Top Hat was the outward and most visible sign that they had succeeded. Beautifully made, this grey coloured classic wool felt hat has a 15 cm high crown that gently tapers outward. The brim is 5 cm wide with the traditional Victorian curl. The trim is a 5 cm wide grosgrain ribbon ending in a side bow. The edge of the brim is bound with grosgrain ribbon for an elegant touch. Fully lined in satin, the hat is finished with a genuine leather sweatband and removable side feather.
This style topper is often associated with the England of Charles Dickens and is our most popular top hat during the Christmas carolling season.

A Top Hat!
Turned up very promptly, well packaged. Hat itself isn't quite as well put together as I'd expected, seam isn't totally perfect, but for the price is still genuinely a bargain and from a few metres away no one will see. Size is perfect, but of course needs slight shaping. Will definitely buy another from the manufacturer through Village Hats.

I can not be more pleased with the hat! Prompt delivery packed in an incredible box for protection. The hat size guide makes for a perfect fit, even with my squarish head a slight squash from me at the sides and "Hey Presto" so comfortable! Would not only recommend I actively promote when asked about my various head gear. I have never yet been disapointed, far from it!Mr Happy!!!

I Rocked the Top Hat
I don't know a lot about hats, to be honest, but when I wore this to a wedding at Epsom Downs one of the bridesmaids told me I "rocked the Top Hat" so I guess at least it made a good impression.Looks sturdy and well made. Can't fault the manufacturing.
The first one I got was too big - even though I measured my head quite pessimistically after reading a similar comment here - but the returns process to get a smaller size was easy. Very happy with the delivery.

The Perfect Topping!
I purchased this top after using a derby for many years as a street illusionist..folks just smile when they see the hat. Sinking Feeling
Nice robust, very sturdy feel to this hat and the inside lining is very comforting. Would offer superb protection if you were anticipating being clouted on the head with a rolled up newspaper as you take your perambulation. Disappointed with the overly generous sizing though - I take 7 5/8 and this hat flops down on my upper earlobes. If ordering again I would go for a size a shade smaller

Just great
I ordered from Sweden at a monday, and it arrived at thursday the same week, and I think that's a quick delivery! The hat size was not a problem for me. The hat is supposed to be quite big, and almost cover the forehead, down to an inch above the eyebrows. So I measured my old hats, and used that to pick a size. It fits perfectly, but I also have a lot of hair that makes it fit. It's a bit heavy, but that's normal. I am very pleased, and I will certanly order from this site again if I need more hats. Brilliant buy
I ordered this hat three days to my wedding and it was delivered just in time. Fantastic, dashing hat
I ordered one black and one grey, and I wear them almost every day. My elegance is constantly remarked upon. The hats are sturdy enough for frequent use. If anything, I'd concur the size is a little larger than you would expect. if you're ordering one, you might want to go down one size from your usual.

Lewes Bonfire celebrations
We purchased two hats for the parade and are very pleased with the quality. The satin lining was a nice touch. However, as with other customers we found the size a fraction too large when compared with other hats purchased elsewhere, but this was a minor problem and easily rectified. Hard to Believe this hat is only 49.00 It looks and feels as good as any top hat I've ever seen. Wore it to my daughters wedding and was the picture of elegance. I cannot recommend enough.

Just top notch! I was ordering this hat for my very own actual real wedding (Haleluja - praise the Lord!) and it arrived fast and has served it's purpose very well! The quality is really nice and even if it was in fact a little bit too large - there is nothing I can complain about. It was just looking gorgeous. And the prices, folks. Look at these prices! Multiple purchases for our Theater Group
bought this hat for "A Christmas Carol" for our Community Theater. When I showed up at practice with it, six of the other men just had to have one for their collection. Sturdy and striking!
I ordered this for my husband to wear to a costume wedding. It fit well, traveled well in his carryon (filled with socks), and looked smashing! It was just the ticket, and the price seems more than reasonable for the quality.
